How to play Counter-Strike Xtreme in your browser
You can play Counter-Strike Xtreme in the browser on csxtreme.io. There is nothing to install: open the site, pick a server, set a player name, and Join.
Browser requirements
- A desktop computer with a keyboard and mouse.
- A current Chrome or Firefox build with WebAssembly enabled (the default).
- A stable connection — the client talks to the game server from the browser.
Mobile browsers, including iPhone and iPad, are blocked. This build needs a desktop keyboard, mouse, and browser setup that phones do not support reliably. If you opened the site on a phone, switch to a desktop to play.
Join a server (no download)
- Go to csxtreme.io.
- Pick a live server from the list. The card shows map, gamemode, and player count.
- Type a player name (up to 32 characters).
- Click Join. The browser loads the game — there is no installer.
Want zombie or ghost? Choose a server that lists that mode, or read the modes page first. If a server is offline, pick another one.
Controls
Default Counter-Strike-style keys:
- WASD — move
- Mouse — look, left-click to fire
- Space — jump · Ctrl — duck
- R — reload · E — use · G — drop / grenade
- 1–5 — weapons · Tab — scoreboard
- ` — console, if you need it
If the game does not start, refresh the page and Join again. If you still need help, email support@nammite.com. More background is on the about page. This is a community browser revival of the classic Xtreme V6 experience — not a Valve or Steam product.
